Terms and Conditions

The company: "RHINE VALLEY SIGHTSEEING TOURS"

Hereinafter referred to as "the company", provides semi-private excursions ("group tours") lasting one or more days, and private excursions ("private tours") lasting one or more days in France and abroad. These excursions are offered under the trade name "Tour.alsace".

These terms and conditions apply to each tour program provided by the company, hereinafter referred to as a "tour." In these terms and conditions, the undersigned is hereinafter referred to as the "client." It is the client's responsibility to read and understand the operator's terms and conditions. Completion and submission of the online booking form, along with payment for the tour by the client, constitutes acceptance of and agreement to the company's terms and conditions. The company reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions without prior notice.

Reservations:

Reservations are accepted by the company upon receipt of a completed booking form via our website or upon receipt of a paper or email booking request for a private tour, accompanied by full payment. All our tours must be paid for before the tour date. Reservations are only confirmed once payment has been received by the company.

Tickets must be pre-printed before the tour or clearly shown on electronic devices and presented to the driver along with proof of identity. The ticket is valid only for the time and date indicated on it.

Customer cancellation and refund policies:

The company strictly adheres to its cancellation policy and will not make any exceptions. If the customer decides to cancel their reservation, the company must receive written notice of this cancellation via mail or email sent to info@tour.alsace (with confirmation of receipt from the company), and the customer will be subject to the following cancellation fee schedule:

For group tours:

4 days or more before the date of the tour: full refund of the service.
3 days or less before the date of the tour: no refund.

For private tours:

15 days or more before the date of the tour: full refund of the service.
14 days or less before the date of the tour: no refund.

No cancellation or assistance insurance is included in the prices quoted for any of the tours. Each client must ensure they have the appropriate travel documents: a valid passport (with visa if required) or national identity card. No refunds will be given for missing or lost identity documents.

Eating, drinking, and smoking are strictly prohibited on board the coaches. All passengers are insured during coach excursions. The company's liability is limited to the terms of our insurance policy.

All group tours depart on time. Clients must arrive at the assigned meeting point at least 10 minutes before the tour begins. The driver will not wait unless the company has been notified that the client will be late, with a maximum waiting time of 10 minutes. After this time, the tours will depart, and the company cannot be held responsible for clients who miss their tour.

Cancellation by the company:

The company reserves the right to cancel any tour at any time before departure for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, if the company deems the number of registered clients for a given tour insufficient to justify its operation. The company may, at its sole discretion, substitute any service or good of similar quality for any service or good listed in a tour itinerary without prior notice. The company will attempt to inform the client of the cancellation of a tour for which the client has paid as soon as possible after the final decision to cancel said tour.

If a visit is cancelled, the company's liability is limited to a full refund of the deposits and visit fees of the client concerned, and the company will not be liable for any other costs, damages or reimbursements of any kind for any loss, delay, inconvenience, disappointment, or expense whatsoever in such circumstances.

The company is not responsible for losses incurred due to non-refundable or non-transferable airline tickets. Tour itineraries are subject to change. Due to circumstances beyond its control, the company may make partial modifications to the indicated itinerary. Every effort is made to minimize changes and ensure quality of service.

If the client encounters a problem during the tour, they are responsible for immediately reporting it to company staff so that the issue can be resolved. Tours not completed in their entirety cannot, under any circumstances, give rise to a complaint or a refund. If, for reasons beyond the company's control, a tour in progress must be interrupted or canceled, the company will, in good faith, refund a portion of the tour fees based on the actual costs incurred compared to the originally planned tour.

Price:

Prices are subject to change without notice. Once the company receives the booking request and payment for the requested service from the client, the price of the tour is guaranteed and cannot be increased.

Payments are made by credit card or bank transfer. Company promotions are valid per person or per vehicle only during the specified promotional dates. They apply to a single tour and are subject to change without notice.

Responsibility :

The company's responsibility is expressly limited to the execution of a tourist circuit with ground transportation from one site to another and the provision of entrance tickets where applicable.

The company excludes all other warranties, including but not limited to the warranty of performance by the company and its agents. Furthermore, the company and its agents shall not be liable for any indirect, direct, or consequential damages, or for any injuries that may result from a tour. The client is fully responsible for all actions and agrees to hold the company and its staff harmless from any accident, damage, or injury. The company and its staff are not liable for acts of God or acts of war/terrorism, and the client agrees to hold the company and its staff harmless from any liability for any incident or injury resulting therefrom, or in the event of force majeure. Only the company can finalize a tour booking request and make it a binding contract for the provision of the service between the company and the client.

The client's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, compliance with all local laws, respect for local customs, culture, guides and professionals, respect for the privacy of other clients, and following suggestions and advice from the company and its staff during a visit.

The company reserves the right to refuse, accept, or detain any client at any time as a participant in a tour if it deems the client's behavior disruptive, inappropriate, or offensive to the group. The same applies if their behavior interferes with the company's operation of the tour.

The company reserves the right to remove any client from a tour if it determines that the client cannot meet the physical requirements of the tour, as outlined in the tour itinerary, disrupts the tour schedule, or negatively impacts the overall group dynamic. In the event of a client's removal from a tour, the company will not issue any refunds. The client will be responsible for any transportation costs to return home, any airfare penalties, and other expenses.

If a client chooses to voluntarily leave a tour, the company will require a written and signed statement of their intention to leave. In the event of a client voluntarily leaving a tour, the company will not issue any refund. The client will be responsible for their own transportation costs, any airline penalties, and other expenses. During a tour, the client may participate in as many of the offered activities as they wish. No refunds will be issued for unused services, activities, excursions, workshops, or portions of a tour, regardless of the reason.

Children:

Babies aged 0 to 4 years are not accepted on our tours, except for private tours. Minors (under 18 years of age in France) must be accompanied by an adult.

Adults traveling with children over 4 years old are required to inform the company of the child's age and weight so that we can provide an appropriate booster seat. Without this information, the company will not accept the child for the tour, and no refund will be possible for the child or their accompanying adult(s).

health:

By making their reservation, the client certifies that they have no physical condition or disability that would create a danger to themselves or other travelers, certifies that they are physically able to participate in the tour, and certifies that they are aware of all information regarding the walking and rest periods undertaken during the tour.

Insurance:

Travel cancellation insurance is strongly recommended, but not mandatory to participate in a tour. Travel cancellation insurance will protect the client if they have to cancel their participation in the tour for reasons such as illness, unemployment, death, etc. The insurance will reimburse the client's participation fee according to the terms agreed upon between the client and the tour operator. The client is free to choose the insurance that suits them best. The company does not provide this type of insurance.

Additional insurance for baggage, health, and accidents is also strongly recommended and available from most major travel insurance providers. The company is not responsible for any additional expenses that may arise as a result of the client not having purchased travel insurance.

Use of image and customer reviews:

Photographs and videos taken by the company or persons mandated by the company during a visit are the property of the company and may be used for promotional purposes.

Verbal and/or written comments provided by customers to the company about a visit also belong to the company and may be used in promotional material, including on the company's website.

Acceptance of terms and conditions:

The customer's booking request constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. The customer understands that this is a legally binding and enforceable contract.

Alcohol and other items:

The company reserves the right (and delegates this right to its drivers) to refuse to transport any person suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or whose behavior is considered a threat to the driver, the vehicle, or other passengers. Customers who soil the interior of a coach are subject to an immediate fine of €50. This fine is payable immediately to the company driver. If the customer refuses to pay or does not have cash to pay, a €50 charge will be deducted from their credit card.

Parents or guardians (or friends over 18) of children and teenagers under 18 are responsible for the conduct of these minors while on board the vehicles and will be held liable for any damage caused by the aforementioned minors. The legal drinking age in France is 18, and therefore, parents or guardians will be responsible for minors during wine tours with regard to alcohol consumption. Any damage caused to a company vehicle by a client must be paid for immediately. If payment cannot or will not be made, the company will be obliged to take legal action against the client(s) in question. Passengers are not permitted to consume alcoholic beverages in our vehicles. Smoking is prohibited in company vehicles.
